Our tomato puree is obtained from round tomatoes grown in Emilia Romagna , juicy and fragrant, which are picked at the right degree of ripeness and slowly cooked in a bain-marie , as our grandmothers once did.
This all-natural process creates a healthy and genuine passata that enriches your dishes with a fresh and full-bodied flavor, recalling the taste of homemade tomato passata. Passata is in fact the most used preserve in our homes and in Italian cuisine. During the summer, families gathered to prepare their supplies for the whole year.
This sauce, cooked in a bain-marie, is prepared according to Italian family tradition, using only fresh tomatoes and a pinch of salt, without the addition of preservatives. An essential product to keep in your pantry for the preparation of many recipes.
The particular density of our puree means that the product has a slight separation at the bottom, we therefore recommend shaking the jar lightly before use.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE : our passata can be used as a cold condiment or in the preparation of sauces and gravies. With its delicate flavour, it is ideal on pizza, to prepare an excellent pasta with tomato and basil, in the preparation of ragù, sauces and stewed meat, fish and vegetables. We recommend combining it in your recipes with the Olive&Basil seasoning for a fresh flavour or with the Olive&Garlic seasoning for a more decisive and traditional flavour. For lovers of spicy food, it is ideal combined with the Olive&Red and Green Chilli seasoning.
