Extra Virgin Olive Oil - "Paolo Coppini Award" By Camilla Locatelli
The Paolo Coppini Award Project
Dedicated to the life of Paolo Coppini, the Paolo Coppini Award was created to unite art and the art of olive oil-making, building a bridge between the tradition of extra virgin olive oil production and artistic creativity. Each year, an artist will be chosen to interpret and reinterpret the essence of our olive oil through a new artistic label, bringing to life a limited edition that celebrates the synergy between art and oil.
The winning artwork of the 2026 Paolo Coppini Award is signed by Camilla Locatelli.
The illustration created by Camilla celebrates the themes of connection, harmony, and conviviality through the use of visual metaphor, representing union as something that goes beyond the sum of its individual parts. For the artist, the thread that unites takes the shape of the drizzle of olive oil which, in the simple act of seasoning, binds the ingredients on the plate, creating a connection between different flavors and wrapping them in a new harmony. The gesture of the hand pouring the oil—through an evocative and convivial circular movement—is reflected in the spiral that structures the entire composition. The drizzle of oil, which symbolically becomes an embrace, thus represents a sense of union, harmony, and sharing.
