Amèrico's plan then found continuity and new impetus with his son Ernesto, who has been the wise and inspired leader of the Coppini Arte Olearia Group for years. An entrepreneur who has made the pursuit of quality and excellence his guideline, so much so that in 2019 he was awarded the title of academic by the Academy of Agriculture of Bologna. Since 1961, the year he joined the company at just 18 years old, Ernesto Coppini has worked with passion and determination to carry forward the project started by his father.
An example of correctness and competence for his sons Matteo , Francesco and Pierluigi and for his granddaughter Anita, daughter of the late Paolo, who passed away prematurely in 2016, who, with their enthusiasm and professionalism, represent a true example of modern and capable young entrepreneurship.
The mission is clear: to continue to produce, select and promote the best Italian extra virgin olive oils, with dedication and commitment, artisanal care and attention to the environment, ensuring consumers and restaurateurs around the world excellent products, of certain and certified quality.
"I think my parents would be proud of what we have achieved and how we have built it," says President Ernesto Coppini . "My entire family and I are proud of it and we continue to think that transforming a fruit of the earth into a high-quality product for man is a true privilege. Now that we are ready to celebrate 75 years of activity, our thoughts go to those who have accompanied us on this journey, to our loved ones who have left us and to all the women and men who, in the olive groves, in the company or as customers, have contributed to helping us reach this important and significant milestone."
The history of Coppini Arte Olearia is marked by many important moments, which have accompanied its growth: from the launch in 1988 of the top project , which guarantees the traceability of the product and with which Coppini is the first company to provide each bottle of extra virgin olive oil with an identity card, which certifies its history and excellence; to the " Gli Olivicoltori d'Italia " project , launched in 2000, which today sees the involvement of olive growers between Abruzzo, Puglia and Sicily, who deliver their olives according to the strict specifications drawn up by the company.
The company's activities in terms of social responsibility of the territory have focused in recent years on the recovery of historical architectural assets and the creation of cultural spaces and events put at the service of the community. In 2009, the Agorà Orsi Coppini Museum - Arca della Cultura was created, a Museum of Olive Oil Art set up in a former 19th-century dairy, recovered with a conservative restoration intervention and an Agorà among the Olive Trees. The Museum is part of the Food Museums circuit. Finally, in 2011 , the recovery was completed, under the supervision of the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, of the former slaughterhouse of San Secondo, dedicated to the maestro Giuseppe Verdi and the Spalla di San Secondo of which the composer from Busseto was a great admirer.
The desire to continue improving production to always offer the best gave rise to the need to create a pilot mill in 2013 , a true research and innovation laboratory, and to inaugurate the Opificio Verde , a new plant designed with respect for environmental sustainability.
Coppini Arte Olearia was the only extra virgin olive oil producing company partner of the Italian Pavilion during Expo 2015 , where the small square of the “ Land of Oil and Olives ” was animated for six months by real Ambassadors of Taste, ready to provide all the information on the world of extra virgin olive oil: from tasting techniques to culinary pairings and its health properties.
All the projects carried out by the company follow the motto “ love is an olive tree” , as Paolo Coppini wanted to remember, when in 2008 he brought a bonsai olive tree to the roof of the world, at 5050 meters above sea level at the base of Everest. A mantra that continues to accompany the company and that is reported on all the bottles of oil.
With the same enthusiasm with which it faced the past, the company now faces and “designs” the future, dedicating itself to many new projects and engaging on various fronts.
“The resourcefulness and passion of our father, as well as the tenacity of our grandparents, are the example that accompanies us every day and which we draw inspiration from when we look to the future of the company, to continue to be innovative, visionary and courageous as our family has always been” say Matteo and Francesco Coppini.
After being selected among the creative driven companies in the context of the initiatives launched on the occasion of Parma 2020+21 , Coppini Arte Olearia is now working on the expansion of the Opificio Verde and is starting new marketing activities with the aim of making the brand and its products increasingly known. Furthermore, it is preparing to present a new extra virgin olive oil, produced with olives harvested and selected by hand according to the indications of an expert agronomist to choose only the best olives in order to obtain an excellent product from an organoleptic point of view, with a greater quantity of polyphenols and with very low acidity and peroxides. This evo oil was developed in the pilot mill, like all the other very high quality oils and some new condiments obtained from the simultaneous pressing of olives and essences.
