Michelin Guide: Service Award at Locanda di Orta

Coppini Arte Olearia for the fourth year next to the Michelin stars



The 65th edition of the Michelin Italy Guide was presented at the Teatro Municipale in Piacenza, confirming its position as the second most starred Guide in the world. This year too, Coppini Arte Olearia and its Extra Virgin olive oil were alongside the Guide.



On the stage of the Teatro Municipale in Piacenza, Francesco Coppini presented the 2020 Michelin Dining Room Service award to Sara Orlando of Locanda di Orta .

The olive tree is a symbol of strength and tenacity and has been linked to our product and our history since, 11 years ago, my brother Paolo brought a small olive tree to the slopes of Mount Everest, to the highest point towards infinity. The mantra that accompanied him during his journey: Love is an Olive Tree , continues to follow us and encourage us to do our job well.


This year we decided to marry it to the cultural project “ Oltrepassaparola ”. A project linked to our city, Parma , which in 2020 will become the Italian Capital of Culture . It is an illustrated vase and a story that represent a theme very dear to us: the bicycle .


The bicycle is the vehicle with which my grandfather Amèrico began his “oliandolo” activity in 1946, the vehicle on which we had our oil tasted at Expo in 2015 and above all it is one of the symbols of sustainable mobility and finally the Bicycle as a metaphor for life. In the hope that our passion can contaminate all those we meet every day".



The presentation of the Michelin Guide 2020 was also the occasion to present some new products such as the contemporary crushing seasoning olives and ginger and the new smoked seasoning.



The extra virgin olive oil and the contemporary pressing condiments of Coppini Arte Olearia were also among the protagonists of the gala dinner held in Volumnia, where Chefs Chicco and Bobo Cerea (Da Vittorio - Brusaporto), Floriano Pellegrino and Isabella Potì (Ristorante Bros' - Lecce), Pietro Leeman (Joia - Milan), Isa Mazzocchi (La Palta - Borgonovo Val Tidone) and Daniele Repetti (Nido del Picchio - Carpaneto Piacentino) took turns.
